Hello! I’m Brad Taylor and I am one of the Optometrists at The Eye Center. I look forward to meeting you and working together at our clinic! I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself, being one of the newest members of the Team, so that you can get to know me a bit better.
I was born and raised in Springdale, so Northwest Arkansas has always been home. Growing up in Springdale in the ’90s, I have seen the massive growth in our community. I may be biased, but Northwest Arkansas is one of the best places to live in the country.
I graduated from Har-Ber high school and attended the University of Arkansas. Sports were always a big part of my life growing up, and I ended up playing football in high school and at the University of Arkansas. While at Arkansas, I had three coaches in three years (Bobby Petrino, John. L Smith, and Brett Bielema), so I experienced a lot of change in the program during my time. It was a whirlwind, but a time in my life I’m extremely grateful for and look back on fondly. (Except Two-A-Days and conditioning, I don’t really miss that!)
I received my degree from the University of Arkansas in Biology and went on to attend Optometry school in San Antonio, Texas. I enjoyed Texas immensely and made lifelong friends during my time. Let me tell you, I was not prepared for San Antonio summers in a suit and tie! As much as I enjoyed Texas, I was happy my residency match would bring me home.
During my residency year, I was at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks. It was such a blessing getting to work with the incredible veterans and staff at the VA. I took great pride in my work there, and it was such a great opportunity to learn from patients and such a knowledgeable network of doctors and nurses.
I started at The Eye Center in July of 2019 and got married to my beautiful wife London, at the end of 2019. So, you could say last year was a big year for me! We enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to Razorback games, and attending our church in Fayetteville. We also love going to concerts at The AMP!
I look forward to the opportunity to meet you in the clinic and learning your story! I feel very blessed to be at The Eye Center with such talented and caring professionals.
